i fell off my bike yesterday after stopping short, in thre middle of a busy street no less. i'm fine. elbow a little scraped. but today my shoulder/upper arm started hurting. oof.

ushering itself was fine. the vineyard doesn't have a dress code and you dont have to get there super early, so twas no problem. the play was pretty good, a fair amount of breaking into song. i think you would have liked it. it was about a bunch of drag queens in a house getting ready for a ball. they had this technique that i think was kinda cliched and kept it from being great of having teh characters tell their background story or pivitol moment that turned them into a queen by all other action stoping, and them talking directly to the audience and starting with my grandmother wore a wig.
some of the guys were super cut, and his one dude was crazy flexible. over all i think the acting was pretty strong and it was a good show

just put up a homemade obama sign. lame of me for not doing this earlier. went to a rally today. women for obama. it was hot and i couldn't hear anything, but it was good to be a face in the crowd.

went to the red hook food vendors for the first time ever. it was ok. can say that i went. where do all the people who play in red hook on the weekends live? sunset park? red hook?


went past a HUGE FUCKING SHIP on the ikea water taxi, assumed it had to be the QM2, but no. apparently there is a bigger ship out there than what i saw. crazy.

my bike wheels will need trued, i don't know what that means

afterschool went really well today which was pretty satisfying the 2nd graders needed some help with the fine motor stuff but they were happy with what they made.

oof that milkshake made me feel sick.

things that i want to write but kinda can't be bothered.

i made a dumbass move on my bike today, but i'm fine. bikeing to work is stressful, but only b/c i think it takes longer than the train from marathon's but i'm not sure. its more in my control anyway.
doing on a pseduo duck tour tomorrow on my 12 hour field trip. it only goes through time square-how stupid.

should you be surprised its spectactular if you registered for it?

i just got a thank you note for a wedding gift which called the candlesticks spectacular. i am glad they enjoy them, and was happy to purchase them, but if you picked them out, should you be surprised at how nice they are?

went to a program on food choice and sustainability tonight and then promptly went to whole foods and trader joes. i don't think i've ever purchased anything from trader joes in new york. boston yes. new york no. and still didn't tonight. its really only their junk food that is so yummy and i'm pseudo trying to cut back on that.

but it is pretty awesome to go by waterfront nearing dusk time. what sucks is how freakin early dusk time is now a days.

i missed the end of astroland. no more bumper cars. no more skeeball

well there are other places for skeeball on coney island. but at least i spent a lot of the day outside, on my bike and on a paddle boat. kickball was bleh, shouldn't have gone, esp since i'm so not giving it my all.

the flowers on the lake in prospect park were really nice, even though i kept mowing them over with our only semi-functional paddle boat.

woke up at 6:30, actually before and was out of the house with plenty of time to ride my bike and get tea and talk basically normally during my first period class...

i figured out why i didn't know it was going to monsoon today

i've been refreshing the pgh weather on my computer not new york. my mom reports that the weather matches the forecast i've been following. oops.
so didn't make it to the art parade. wonder if it happened. don't have a decent umbrella. its mad humid. and making me feel bleching. marathon should be happen that i won't have any issues with not doing anything tonight though. although i bet he's going to still want to brave it to check out this indian place on the east side.
got edamame from the csa today, no idea that's what they looked like on the bush-i mean the pods are the same, but the plant is different than i thought, much more tree like with kinda arugala leaves (at least the arugala we got from than csa)

1st day stress freebut

i didn't teach. tomorrow i jump into teaching. i was late today, but i didn't need to be there til 8:45 and got there at 8:15. but when i have to be there at 8 will be problematic. seriously getting out of bed sucked.

i have gotten more campaign literature from roger adler than i thought possible. and attack ads. shhesh. doesn't make me want to vote for him.

having a very small sheva bracha today. so much for cleaning my apt first...

if i were updating my facebook status it would say brookburg had a relaxing weekend in the burgh

first visit home with marathon went well. the bed was too big i kept rolling away. when i am by myself i never sleep in the center, its too big and i get freaked out.

we couldn't go on the mon incline, it was broken. that was a little sad. spent a bunch of time at coffee tree, shady side and squirrel hill. walked around fricked park, tossed a disc in mellon park. the wedding was nice and simple and elegant. good food. nice peeps. the venue felt new orelan'seaque to me for some reason, i think the courtyard and balconies.
the wedding shower was nice, basic and typical. his fam seems cool.
