waiting for the shower, doing other people's dishes

slept in late again. don't love it.
need to cook, which also has a need to shop component, but the coop on a sunday, esp the sunday before tday yikes.
sunny but cold. yesterday was blustery.
went to the lj wrap party, it was lame. the na warp party was more fun even though i saw celebrities here...and brooke admitting she'd had some alcohol....
think i am going to costa rica in feb, which i am feeling a little ambivalent about. both money and travel partner wise. and what the impetus for the trip is....
shower time

cold sunday

today i am:
-avoiding a parent that i should have responded to three days ago
-avoiding seriously cleaning my apt
-pondering why marathon was talking about making jelly rolls last night--what is a jelly roll?
-again being astounded at a certain friend's political views and how her apathy shines through and skews here so conservative.
-wondering if i will study for my hebrew test tomorrow
-annoyed at how long i stayed in bed in the morning even though i was wide awake and kinda had teh shplikies
-hating how early it gets dark
-and fearing how cold it will be on my ride to marathon's tonight and ride to work tomorrow.

i drove a number 6 subway train yesterday

for about 300 feet but i still did it. we took a tour of the old city hall station and apparently after these tours they always let one or two people drive (they have their hands on top of yours). i didn't know this, but i had been chatting with the mta guy about his job and he asked me if i had ever driven a train, i said no but i'd love to. when we got on the car he motioned for me to come up to the front. it was awesome the smile on my face was humongous!

got up early both days and feel like i have done so much. yummy brunch, watched marathon, walked on some abandoned tracks down by owls head park. some kids followed us in which i wasn't comfortable with on several accounts, but i would totally go back down there again.

marathon loved his facial yesterday.
i still need to get my textbook for hebrew tomorrow night.

not pleased about how early it gets dark!
