a few things

my new school looks to have as much mishagas as my old school.  but it should be good.

master builder at bam, meh enjoyed it but didn't totally get it

so many things to do before i leave this school year and so unclear for the summer.  much math work to do over the summer!

also so many report cards to write. bleh...

some nice teaching moments recently

but these ones at the ililii or whatever food stand at madison sq eats were sooo super yummy (also spell check is not picking up ililii, what does it mean?)  also their veggie wrap which was yummy should not be called vegetarian schwarma-and don't jack up the price a buck b.c you did.
definitely noticed that only upper middle class (so let's read that as white) people were eating at this pricey market (not just my food stand, all of them)  oh my non-diverse nyc life, which i feel will only get more non-diverse at my new job, ie my current job has a reason not to be diverse.

signed my 'contract' at the new school today.  it of course says i need to follow all rules in the handbook, but didn't give me a handbook-at least at senesh they give you the hand book with your 'contract'

why does greasy food help with my withdrawl nausea?  and lots of my nausea.  what up with that?  hopefully withdrawl will be taken care of tonight, maybe we can work on the reasons i let that happen to myself later.

my cousin is having a blak tie wedding in a suburban conference center in chicago--bleh. so don't want to go.


also dont want to work at the museum this summer, they keep taking away all the fun and or decently paid parts.  i do not believe in not giving kids a chance to run around each day during camp--but liability comes in (also means i need to be on/plan more of the day and can't lead them up their own healthy devices).  they also took away paid prep time.

took the job, gave notice, too late to get in line for train show

sad about getting blocked out of the trains at grand central, but the model trains were cool and found out about some more train museums, mainly in CT.

interesting bike ride tour of the carnigie library branches in brooklyn, until the rain.  then an incredibly lame night, in part my fault, in part b/c we are just lame.

the problem with giving an unconventional assignment...

grading it, even with rubrics.
this was meant to be an easy test, so people are getting graded lightly.

busy day.
8am bird walk.  i thought there was going tobe fight between the birders and the dog owners, wasn't pleasant to be a part of but...carolina wren, goldenfinch, swallows, black and white warbler, titmouse, yellow rumped warbler, yellow warbler,  some gorgeous warbler i didn't catch the name of and cedar waxwings, plus an oriole nest and a mourning dove nest. and pair of cardinals.

got offered a job i applied for now the decision.  hard to say.  money is a big factor.  i don't think there is a wrong choice, but is there a correct choice?

first shareholders mtg on tuesday.  we need a new mortgage.
i need to do more to clean around here than just half heatedly bring out the vacumn every once in a while, i mean to but....

went to the pastry shop i spotted in bensonhurst on a bike ride last summer, wasn;t as exciting as i remembered, but on a tip we continued to venture to find a more exciting place an an interesting bike ride back.

my cheeks are burnt though and my ears still aren't pierced.
