not as many magnos as i thought

we went up to NYGB today. the orchid show was good but the way it was laid out it was hard to take it all in. not worth $20 and they didn't have as many magnolias in the magnolia area or cherries in the cherry area as i thought they might.
but nice to get out and went to pilates this morning and had an awesome brunch made by pine tree.

another harsh talk, and again we will see if anything changes. certainly i need to up my game.

not the fan of kabbalat shabbat services i used to be. also should give some money to these shuls....

we bit the bullet

pine tree and i are now on a family plan for our cell phones.
i have a crappy version of a razor--welcome to 2007
pine tree is super intense at the moment about the this american life retraction of mike daisey's monologue about foxconn. ira glass is being pretty intense. and as a comment i saw on it yesterday, maybe over the top b/c tal plays with creative storytelling and the journalistic barrier all the time. i have only heard about 10 minutes of this.
bds and anti fliering people outside the coop.

went to lovely engagement party today. my parents would love to through one for me.

this morning when listing the things pine tree and i need to buy: a new duvet cover, new set of dishes, new set of sheets i had the thought that it'd be nice to get married and be able to register for these things...

new day, same story

lack of motivation, annoyance with jonathan schwartz
but did go to pilates and farmers market and showered, although not dressed.
lots of in head screaming
thought i had actual things to say but guess not

ok weekend

there was bds protesting outside of batsheva dance performance. i got dressed up and we ended up at lame place for dinner where i ended spending a lot of lame money.

took a 5 month old for a long slow walk in the park today so the parents could get some stuff done around the house. went totally fine. complete with a trip to the swings.

ok back from a sans baby adventure...was quite lovely
bike ride to dumbo
ride on jane's carousel (no need to do again without a kid, but certainly glad i did-would love to take ezt, or moving to vermont-but he should be older)
treat from one girl cookies
maklat with marathon (although i think it put him in a little pain)
a spin around powerhouse bookstore
easy bike back with a stop at the coop
held a decent (with spot) 45 second handstand.

highlights

just bought my ticket to seattle for way too much money and maybe not enough time. but i'm coming. also didn't add in ticket to pgh because i balked at the price. but if i do end up buying another ticket and going-will end up spending way more...
eternal dilemma, buy a new bike or not?
slight dilemma, buy an ipad or not?
take sailing lessons this summer or not? (we all know this won't happen, i will fret over the money and end up wasting it on cookies instead of saving it like i feel i should have...)
2pm and well, i've bought a ticket to seattle.
hanging out with a maybe still colicky 5 month old tomorrow, so his parents can get their apt in god selling shape. i have only met this kid once. he was maybe 2 months old. sad that he parents are moving to vermont. could be new friends. selling the apt will take a while. last night wondered if we should buy their apt. but may have some roof leaks, 500,000 for a one bedroom is insane, and while the place is nice, it also has some things i'd want to redo.
found my train embroidery. but the frame i got for it is too small. so stupid frame i have and no way to hang it.
at the moment feeling paralyzed. feel that a lot actually. but i'll move on.
next goal is get to the bank in the next 50 minutes to cash a check and then maybe go to the gym. but it's cold out--so what mode of transport to employ?
