i could recap 2011 but i don't think there is much to say.

grad school friend moved away-boo hoo
i'm sure other big things happened but can't think of them. i think bacon is jumping the shark and everyone is obsessed with the i will call twee macarons. (although i had a super good earl grey one the other month)
marathon and i finally bought a tv. 2012 will be the year of debating the roku
last nye i was sick and we stayed home and listened to npr. and i rallied for fireworks. this year we are staying home, listening to npr, marathon is making pizza and we will go to friend's house pre fireworks.
also i won't be wearing my winter coat. and we got to play paddle tennis in park for a bit. hurt is shoulder a bit, so likely no tennis.

cold in my apt

i don't know what my landlords who live downstairs do, but our heat is turned off during the day--when we are usually not home, which is fine when we are at work, but weekends and days off it kinda sucks.

grad school friend was here for a few days. that was awesome. then she left. that was sad.
not seeing slipnslide buddy and ezt which is sad, but would have been an unnecessary hassle.

ezra jack keats exhibit was awesome, ill go back if you want.
jim hensen exhibit was good but not as awesome as i wanted it to be, also i thought it would be more of a muppets exhibit, but it was more of a life of jim hensen exhibit--he was another one of these--did he sleep, so fucking prolific

hoping to make it to amnh and powerhouse books today. but that means getting out of bed.

seriously too cold to get out of bed.

apparently a family at school, the 3 kids were out with their grandparents in chicago and grandfather had heart attack and died in front of them. how freaky. and sucky.

2 crafts down. some more i'd like to make.

hoping to make it to AMNH today. oops already said that, its a couple hours later. Hope to make it out of the house by 3....

If marathon takes tomorrow off, I vote for a trip to building 92 even though he will want to bike and its supposed to rain

not going to lava class. had an hour to kill without my book and feel a little sniffly. class starts in 5 minutes and i already have 2 reports written so...

oh the social anxiety...

my 2nd cousin lives in nyc and i never see her. this week her mom and sister are in town-i know this during facebook. should i make the effort to see them, should they make the effort to see me. it makes me a little sad her aunt, also my mom's first cousin never made an effort to see me. just commented on facebook pic. we'll see. logistically i dont think it will happen.

i don't really want to stay home tonight. but i also don't really want to go out in the cold, or out to this holiday party by myself.

spent a lot of money today, on non-questionable purchases, but also....included are two coats bc i couldn't decide between them and bought both for marathon to see. and cute boots, but i think i might be cold in them...

why wouldn't a i be happy crawling into bed now. oh yikes.
went to they gym today, mainly for the sake of going to the gym...but it did make me feel better.

need to get this project done. and asap.
doing laundry. wonder if laundry mat will have wifi.
got the worst taped package ever today-surprised it survived the fed ex journey.
report card time. bleh. i am so far doing fine with them...but...

yesterday saw ginormous 18 wheeler loaded with x mas trees that had just arrived from vermont. was kinda crazy to see at 10:30pm outside the coop.

have some bills i need to pay. ok project here i come.

bay ridge as for horn orchestra

tutor in bay ridge. super foggy today. walking back to the subway it sounded like a fog horn orchestra. super cool, but maybe annoying if i lived there.
the subway is fucked up by us and i have to walk from 7th ave, which would be fine out if rain and snow werent in the forecast--which also means no biking. sad.

i liked the lava show, marathon did not. too much modern dance for him...
it's been a long time since i've seen a movie...

it's fine that marathon plays it so much. but me sitting watching him is totally lame. esp when i get distracted from other things and look up to watch.
the heat is on a timer we can't control. adn this is a cold time of day around our house-this is not a fun part of winter, nor an incentive for me to do some abs...
had tea at a friend's who lives near by today. that was nice.

almost done with the freelance project. need to get it over with and have it done by monday.
