i think howard stern is lame

sadly marathon doesn't. he's not so shocky, he's just pompous and his show is full of ads. truth be told i do not like talk radio in any form other than npr which i condsider news. i wasn't a fan of air america either--no talk radio for me please. and please no more howard stern drivel.

worse problem--my house smells

this is not a new thing and i kinda noticed it the second time we saw the place. but there is a serious musty smell. its worse when the house has been closed up, but living in it for a couple weeks with the windows open doesn't seem to be helping. today was fairly humid and when i came how, and now as i type this in the bedroom i was hit with the smell. YIKES. and also help.

my job is seriously changing next year. some things will remain the same. many will be different. we'll see how it goes..

clover mites

that's what i'm going to assume the small red creatures that have infested the bathroom sink are. i have decided this because 1) its actually reasonable and 2) all info about them says they are harmless and will go away soon and that's a best case senario

went to the moma today. mad ass crowded. the maria abromivic exhibit is still up, i breezed through. i would not want to me one of her actors, or her. i think the thing to see is when then shift people or when she sits down or gets up at the end of the shift, but i wonder if that is before/after the museum is open, to see the transition into 'character'

apt is coming along. last of the furniture (i think, depends if we will hang some shelves we have) is assembled and ready to be hung, tonight! 2 more posters up on the wall. need to enlarge some of marathon's prints and frame (oof good framing is so expensive) also need to have our subway mta arts for transit poster framed. i think a good space for it will be in the hallway, i think he thinks that's degrading to it.

took a cab back from the uws last night. ouch. need to not do that.
still need to figure out where the fuse box is for this apt and hopefully have revealed that we can use our landlord's washer and dryer--although i'm totes sure that's a pipe dream.

otherstuff? dunno. apparently its the wnyc pledge drive. i will give at some point, but at the moment am too lazy to go change the radio station. listening to it on stereo i got beginning of sophomore year of college--i cannot beleive it still works (kinda, the cd changer is dead)

thoughts as i walk to a dark coffee house on a sunny day

so much easier to get up and going today when its nice out compared to yesterday which was crap out.
why am i inside on such a nice day.
there seems to be a lot of new hookah bars in this greater area
sad that preschools need to have their windows to the street covered so the kids end up getting no sunlight. i get why for safety, but still sucks.

getting a new phone is a total rip off. the activation fee. insurance is bullshit. and my new phone seems to only come with one annoying ring to choose from and i have to buy a simple beep if that's what i want. LAME and FAIL

but i am going to new brooklyn bridge park this afternoon. so woo hoo.

new phone

if you've seen me since labor day or so you know my phone is fucked. i finally lost it in a cab on the way to a babynaming on sunday. so monday i go and get a new "upgrade phone" or whatever, the with rebate, cheap phone, except that they just want more money out of me and there is an $18 fee to change devices. i considered going to a smartphone of some sort but both the phone and my monthly plan would have been more. no thanks.

2 days off. today was kinda depressing, but got to catch up a little bit with slipnslide buddy and watched a bad movie with a friend from work.

tomorrow weather should be nicer, and more excitng plans.

apt is coming along, lots of random papers still need homes...

new corwoker on the way, will have to share classroom, but person isn't my coworker, we'll see how that goes.

marathon man still won't let me host shabbat dinners. phooey on him.

flying trapeze--so fun

went to streb last night. always awesome to see! and they had a discounted class afterwards. did one round on the trapeze with a successful knee hang and one round on the trampoline. my 180 turns were more like 120 turns, but it was fun. i also won a free class on the trampoline, so i'm kinda pumped.

the place is shaping up and i am more and more on top of my balls, although lots have still been dropped.


do not like the time change of wait wait don't tell me. miss the sunday at 11am spot.
