the hand written thank you note

not gone for personal reasons, but totally gone for business reasons? imagine sending a handwritten, sent by mail thank you for a job interview. might be touching, but you'd lose the job b/c you didn't send a thank you and might be thought of as not with it when it finally arrived (maybe not)
asked a mom at school for the snail mail address to send a thank you note to someone who came in to help with our class today. her response to my asking: wow! main reason is i want the kids to sign the card...

liking the book i am reading on the art world. we'll see if i finish it.
ate wayyyyyyy too much chocolate today. oops. ruined my appetite for dinner.

also way unsure what to do about the times paywall. i click on 20 articles in the course of a day and a half. i should just suck it up and pay, its not that much.

although i am working less this summer, which is an issue around money, but even more so that they didn't want to hire me and how that makes me ego feel.

it feels wrong to ask my parents for their login, also don't think they'd know it. for cheaper we could get the sunday times and get a login with that. that's a lot of paper.

hmmmm. to shower or not, nah i'll wait til tomorrow morning.

hopefully we have the last big love disc for this season.

beautiful burnout

and a beautiful day. pretty day and nice weekend and did stuff everyday, even if wayyy tooo many needless and now expensive car services were taken.

woo hoo for it not getting dark til after 7, but also screws with my timing some.

ushered beautiful burnout at st ann's. was a gorgeous production and well done. still not totally sure about the book/story but i could be convinced either way. also they did not make us sit around and do nothing even though they called us for 1.5 hours before curtain. so got to roam and walk and drool over books, so many books i want to read at the moment. (and yet so hard for me to actually read anything these days)

hoping for more weekends like these that feel fullfillng and pretty.

but what is going on there is scary as shit.

anyone remember the girl in high school we used to talk about as if she had been around chernobyl? don't remember the full or actual story, but i can picture here.

the nuclear shit going down is way easier for me to comprehend then the earthquake or tsnumi or anything in the mid east or africa--or lives of a lot of people close to me for that matter.

cooked dinner, and used a recipe and shit, for the first time in a while it felt good. esp bc i didn't make it to pilates today. felt like i did something besides hit refresh constantly.

sometimes you shouldn't troll the internet

it just makes you feel bad for the little you do compared to the crazy busy people/moms who do so much and blog about it all (and i assume make money off these ventures)

i went to work, ate A LOT of cookies. ditched the gym. came home. trolled the web, found lots of stuff i didn't understand (anything going on at sxsw interactive) made salad and now blogged.

turns out my black felt is actually chocolate, not so cool for the penguin i was making. trying to make a giraffe now. kinda wish i had instructions. might break down and buy a book.
due to time change its already 1pm. not sure how i feel about that. but pumped it will be light out longer. not sure how to explain to my students though.
taxes. one month left. yikes.
nothing much to say, life is moving back into a more boring time, not so much on horizon.

i want to make a teddy bear through my felting currently working on a little whale, also want to make a bird, but need to maybe look at some books to work out the shapes. don't love my wool i have
